Initiatives
Although MCI’s initial investigations are intended to feed into a consultative process that will culminate in a new urban development strategy for each city designed to reflect its most urgent priorities, MCI does not wait to act until this sometimes lengthy process has been concluded. Where MCI identifies dangerous gaps in coverage through our research – in improving neonatal survival, for instance, or access to clean drinking water, sanitation or livelihood opportunities – MCI seeks to bring in capable partners who can help fill these gaps, or to develop our own targeted interventions to do the same.
